Making your own taco seasoning is very easy and much more economical than buying the little packets from the grocery store. In addition, by learning to make your own mixes, you can avoid excessive chemicals, preservatives and fillers, as well as having the option to adjust the mix according to your family’s preferences and needs.
All of the ingredients in this recipe can be purchased in the spice isle of most grocery stores. Buy spices in bulk at the club warehouse for even greater savings.

thanks, will definitely give this a try. I have a recipe but it doesn’t have as much in it and have felt it needed something. I have some many herbs/spices that I try to mix my own blends as much as possible to save money and they are usually much better. Also, I like being able to control the salt content; make a lot w/o. Hubby has high blood pressure.

You are very welcome! I love making my own seasonings and other mixes. It saves us a lot of money and I love being able to adjust everything according to what we want. My husband also has high blood pressure, so I use real salt instead of processed salt or the MSG in most commercial mixes. Hope you enjoy it! 🙂
