I don’t know about you, but I am a dishes procrastinator in the worst way. I can’t help it, there just isn’t anything enjoyable about washing dishes to me; I mean, there are so many other things that I could be doing. Playing with my kids, writing a new blog post…I would even rather do laundry than to do dishes. That being said, dishes are a necessary evil of any home and I do my fair share. In fact, I would estimate I spend 65% of my day in the kitchen and my sink is probably the most used feature of my home. Through-out the day I am at the sink washing dishes, cleaning some of the kid’s toys, scrubbing hands before a snack, cleaning fruits and veggies for our meals or rinsing paintbrushes after craft time – I told you, I spend a lot of time in there! – and until recently my sink was cluttered by a collection of different soap bottles.
The nice folks at Lysol sent me their brand new No-Touch Kitchen System, which is a fancy word for all-purpose Lysol soap dispenser, to try out recently. The automatic, hands-free dispenser is designed to provide the right amount of soap when you need it for all of your kitchen tasks. Lysol’s latest product comes stocked with soap (available in 3 scents) that is tough enough to cut through the baked on grease left behind on my casserole dish and the sticky juice spill on the counter while still being gently enough to use at snack time to wash up those precious hands.
I won’t say that using the soap has made me like washing dishes; rather the single bottle brings an uncluttered atmosphere to an already busy area. Only needing to use the one cleaner for pretty much all of our kitchen cleaning needs really does streamline our lives a bit, not to mention has made it easier for the kids to jump in with more cleaning responsibility. With them being able to take on more of the responsibility in the kitchen we will be able to keep our home cleaner and our bodies healthier.
Just today I took the Undercover Kitchen System Challenge from Lysol and followed little Sara around the kitchen and while I only got 6 out of the 8 possible germ points, Sara was certainly able to spread a lot of germs around in a very short amount of time. What about you? How do you score in the Undercover Kitchen System Challenge? Head over and take the Undercover Challenge and then let us know! You could win a kitchen upgrade from Lysol!! I bet your memory is better than mine!
