It’s a pretty well known fact that I have a thing with bamboo stuff! I have a collection of bamboo cutting boards that I always have out on my counters. I just love the look of them and knowing that bamboo is a grass. Just like the grass in your yard – it grows back quickly.
Over the years, I’ve come to love some bamboo baby products almost as much as I love my bambinos. Fabric made from bamboo is silky soft. Toys made from bamboo hold up to boys far better than any plastic. Cloth diapers made from bamboo are absorbent and have natural antibacterial properties – just what you want in a cloth diaper.
Here are just a few of the items that we use on a daily basis in our home with our four rough and tough boys.
Bamboo Baby Toys
What’s soft, cuddly, made from eco-friendly products? Dandelion’s Plush Bamboo stuffed baby animal is right! Dandelion has an entire collection of organic animals and other soft toys for kids in addition to their bamboo items! Now that baby is older how about some Bamboo Organeco Building Blocks? I absolutely love giving our children toys that don’t require batteries but need a healthy dose of imagination to play with indoors or out. Bamboo building blocks are sure keep them busy for hours with the simple designs, colors and limitless creations to be made. Another bonus is that there are no batteries to charge, and the only limit is the hours in the day.
Bamboo Cloth Diapers
The Charcoal Bamboo Cloth Diapers by Lil Helper are not only amazing but created by two Canadian’s with a sense of humor – you’d have to have one dealing with poo all day long wouldn’t you! In addition to the bamboo cloth diapers having naturally deodorizing, anti-microbial and hypoallergenic properties they also do good each time you diaper your baby. For every three diapers purchased Lil Helper donates a diaper to a family in need throughout North America with their Baby Do Good program.
One of my favorite bamboo cloth diaper systems that I’ve used since about 2005 is from another Canadian company called Mother-ease®. The Mother-ease® Bamboo One Size™ Fitted diaper is one of my favorite, simple workhorse diapers. It’s design allows for use from about 10 to 35+ lbs. Mother-ease® Sandy’s™ Bamboo Fitted diapers are another one of my favorites and I still use the Toddle-ease™ for our almost four year-old at night. It’s soft, thirsty and washes easily!
Bamboo Baby Clothing
There is a grand selection of bamboo baby clothing by Kicky Pants that I’d love to get my hands on! Knowing how soft my Mother-ease® Bamboo Cloth Diapers are after years of washing multiple times a week, I can’t imagine what it would be like to snuggle up with my little one wearing a bamboo layette. Soft, silky and good for the planet, too! Leg warmers for kids are one of the hottest fashion trends, now with ToodleBugz Bamboo Baby Leg Warmers from Mommy’s Touch your kids can be fashionable and eco-friendly. They are great for using on infants instead of pants for easy, fast diaper changes and quickly stuff in your diaper bag for when the summer nights turn chilly. I’ve also seen them used on arms in combination with short sleeved shirts. So many uses – and the same pair can fit a baby or a teenager – stretching their value and benefits even more!
Bamboo Toddler Potty Seat
So a Bamboo Toddler Toilet Seat is a stinkin’ good idea! It’s smooth lines would allow for easy cleaning and no handles to break. Not sure about your boys, but ours sure do make a mess of those nasty plastic toddler toilet seats. With this design, you can tell there would be no urine or poo trapped in the seams. Unlike plastic, this bamboo seat isn’t going to have seams!

LOVE that potty seat! My preschooler has been after me to pull out that awful leaking plastic floor seat for the toddler and I am dragging my feet. Need to get this one!

Oh I KNOW!!! When I saw that seat I think I let out a little squeal with ‘oh my goodness we soooo need that’. I absolutely hate the plastic potty seats especially the padded ones. So.gross.

Hi, I’m Deonabraham.. new to this space. Can someone help me finda site that offers natural/ eco-friendly baby products?
I’ve found a few sites but not all their products are organic or eco-friendly, and it’s hard to find a site that has cute stuff.

Deonabraham, There are many many sites out there that have organic and eco-friendly products. It really depends on what you are looking for. Our new shop offers a growing variety of bamboo baby products. You can also visit BambooBabyToys.com for a larger variety of bamboo products for babies and kids.
