Conquering Your Kitchen, the next Untrained Housewife Guide, is finally here! You’re going to love this one – if you’ve ever walked into the kitchen an hour before dinner and thought, “What now?” this is the book for you.
You know I’ve been working so hard on preparing this book and love how well Annemarie explained how to work in the kitchen with confidence. As she always does for the Untrained Housewife community. Over the last ten years and five kids, I have learned a lot and become a great deal more confident in the kitchen when I look back on where I came from when I first got married. But reading through this book as I prepared it for publication taught me so much more and I cannot wait to implement what I’ve learned.
The lack of kitchen confidence I had when I first got married is actually what began the Untrained Housewife website in the first place. So helping to produce this book feels very full circle. And now it’s your turn to take the next step with Conquering Your Kitchen!
We have some amazing prizes we are giving away for our book launch celebration – over $900 worth!

Organizing my kitchen
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m terrible in the kitchen, so I’m honestly looking forward to learning everything in this book! You’d think after 5 years of marriage I’d have some things figured out but I still just kind of blunder around in there and hope it turns out edible. 😉
This looks awesome! I’ve been really looking forward to this guide.
Something I could use!
I want to learn more about meal planning
I can’t wait to read the vegetables front and center chapter!
I would like to learn how to better organize my kitchen and the tools that I should keep most accessible in my kitchen layout.
creating new snacks for the family to enjoy
That was probably the best chapter in my opinion – the snacks chapter was SO helpful. Snacks are where my family falls if we eat something unhealthy.
I always need help with my food budget and planning! I just tend to go, buy stuff, and run out of money at the end of the month. No good at all!
Anything that can help me find confidence to keep feeding my kids well, even when they won’t touch what I make lots of times, will be a blessing! This book sounds wonderful!
LEarning some new snack recipes
This looks handy for those days when I’m lacking my kitchen mojo.
Looks like it contains some exciting recipes to try.
I always look forward to tips on making life easier in the kitchen…
Congrats Angela and UH on the book launch! Looking forward to this one. 🙂
Absolutely have been trying to better my meal choices and start planning our meals
I totally need to get a copy of this book! Congrats on another great guide!
I’d love to read about your meal planning and organizing in the kitchen…..I know I certainly need it in my busy schedule.
I’d like to read this to learn more about making real food without processed ingredients, and keeping my kitchen stocked that way.
We have been eating out way too much and I believe that it is due to bad planning. I hope that this will help me to better plan our meals. Thanks!
This is such a great giveaway! You ROCK!!
Thank you for the chance to win! u look forward to owning a copy of the new book!
I like the idea of meals that take 30 minutes or less to make! 🙂 This looks like an awesome resource.
I like that every recipe takes 30 minutes or less to prepare.
That’s my favorite part as well – It’s great to have easy-to-fix recipes planned ahead of time that won’t take me all day to finish.
DIY staples section looks like a great read.
we probably could have saved a ton of money on making just a few of these instead of buying them
Congrats, Angela. This looks like an AMAZING resource!
I’m always looking for new recipes to try and the promise of quick jabbing a quick meal to put on the table sounds great.
Thanks for giving me a chance..looks like a great giveaway.. Nice website as well!
Everything about the book looks amazing! Thanks for the giveaway!
Definitely meal planning. I’m a last minute kind of cook which usually leads to us eating later than I wanted.
I most interested in organization.
I am most looking forward to the chapter on organizing your kitchen because that has always been a struggle for me!
And for me too! That chapter was SO helpful to me even editing it. I already have moved some things around and cut down on my prep time in the kitchen considerably as a result.
I get overwhelmed with cooking and planning. Congrats on the new book, I know it wil help me!
Yes me too. If I have a plan I am less overwhelmed all day.
I really need help keeping a consistent food budget and having a plan. We eat out more than I would like because sometimes I’m not prepared.
I’m looking forward to the snack ideas. My boys are ALWAYS hungry and we’re getting tired of the same old snacks all the time.
I am horrible at meal planning. I bet I could learn alot from this book!
What a beautiful book <3 I always love learning about being more efficient and budget friendly in the kitchen so that is what I would look forward to the most!
Thanks! Becky Bayne is my graphic designer and she does an amazing job.
Looking forward to reading this book!
I am reading the book currently for review – and am very excited!
Woohoo! You reviewers are SO important for helping potential readers know whether the book is right for them and how it can help them. Look forward to seeing your review!
The snacks… if it’s not a fruit I’m pretty much an epic failure lol
I am looking forward to meal planning, I need so much help in meal planning.
thank you!
Since I dont know what is in the book, I am looking forward to reading everything and learning a few bits of wisdom from some amazing writers i have met in the past 2 years from UH.
Two parts sound very interesting and helpful for me–foods to keep on hand, and the grocery list in action. And the recipes sound intriguing.
30 min. prep time. I like this because of my lumbar aching I don’t get to cook like I used to.
I’m looking forward to looking like a PRO! This is a discussion often at our house!

I am most looking forward to learning some breakfast recipes that take less than 30 minutes to make to add to our weekend breakfasts
This book looks great! I love so many of the topics, but I think I’d most look forward to making kale chips. I tried making them & it was a disaster. I’d be willing to give it another go though.
Great opportunity – both the book and give-away – Thank you!
The budgeting and meal planning would be my favorite!
The DIY Staples would be awesome to learn.
Organizing your kitchen and snack recipes
Your snack section really appeals to me.

Planning meals!
I am really excited about the chapter on breakfast foods. I often just grab a piece of toast.
Great new ideas under 30 minutes in all sections of meals !!!!!TY
Thanks in advance for not just another ordinary cookbook. After being married over 50 years, it’s still a wonderful thing for me to find some new and exciting recipe – or a better way to do something – or a new way to repurpose/reuse something I’ve had in the kitchen forever. Or maybe it’s time to retire it in favor of a better utensil/appliance/device/whatever. Can’t wait to give this book to my grandchildren who are newly married. When I married I’d never cooked a meal. So I had lots of failures – and some of those stories have now become family traditions :>) Have really enjoyed the website. Lots of good ideas there. Keep up the good work so we can perpetuate a healthier future for our families.
You’re welcome! I definitely had “new bride panic” or “new mom panic” in mind when planning this title. I think it’s the perfect wedding gift to help someone feel empowered in the kitchen.
Our family has a failure-tradition-inside-joke also….Pepper Soup. I am the proud creator of Pepper Soup so spicy my dad couldn’t even eat it.
This is Awesome! Thank you for the opportunity I need organization and quick meals as I’m a caregiver for my brother who is a quadriplegic on a ventilator. I also have a family so I’m pressed for time in the kitchen.
Thank You
Caryl
M interested in the “Snack Time” chapter. I’d love how to make protein bars, and the muffins look yummy too!
The snack time was one of my favorite chapters too and will probably earn me back the cost of the book in the first month. My kids are ALWAYS hungry it seems and having GOOD snacks on hand for them feels like a huge win.

What a great sounding book. I will be reading this one for sure! Thanks for the chance at kitchen goodies!
As a mom who is still on a steep homemaking learning curve this looks like an incrediablly helpful meal planning book.
I am most interested in learning how to set a food budget because I do not have a lot of money.
I really like the purpose of your book. I too spent a lot of time learning as I went along. I think there are others who have found this to be their plight having been brought up in homes where fast food and take out was a staple. Those families had to do it to survive. The dilemma of the two power career family.
Good Luck and God Bless!
Getting new recipes is always a win for me, but the prizes would be VERY welcome! Thanks for the contest.
I would love to be better organized and the meal planning help would be helpful
Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
The Maple Granola recipe.

Now that I have my new home and am home full-time, I’m looking for ideas to organize my kitchen and better utilize my fresh food instead of sending some of it to the compost pile! The recipes sound interesting, also.

I love recipes that take less than 30 minutes! We are getting bored with dinner, so this would give me some new quick ideas!
I would love to try out all the different oats recipes, like Stovetop Oats.
I’m not a cook. Most of the time, I try to avoid the kitchen. This book would give me some fresh ideas and help me be more imaginative with my meals.
