
Mushroom soup
Using cream soups in your dinner recipes can help you create meals that are quick, easy, economical, and of course delicious. Generally, these recipes contain ingredients that are already in your pantry, so they make for great meals on busy nights. These tried and true recipes may come in handy when you need to whip up a good dinner, and fast.
Mushroom Soup Skillet Dinner
Serves 4
Ingredients:
2 potatoes, peeled and diced
½ pound extra lean ground beef
½ medium onion, diced
1 cup fresh or frozen vegetables (peas, corn, carrots – anything you like, really)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
¼ cup beef broth (use more if it seems dry or too thick)
½ package onion soup mix
Pepper, to taste
Boil potatoes until about three-quarters done. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion. Add the potatoes and vegetables. Pour soup, beef broth, onion soup mix, and pepper over. Cover with a lid and simmer on low for about 20 minutes. This meal is delicious paired with a loaf of fresh bread and a salad.
Easy Beef Stroganoff
Serves 4
Ingredients:
½ pound extra lean ground beef
½ medium onion, diced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup beef broth
1-2 tablespoons beef bouillon (more or less to taste)
Pepper, to taste
½ cup low fat sour cream
1 teaspoon dried dill
Brown the ground beef and onion, add soup, broth, bouillon and pepper. Simmer until meat is cooked. Stir in sour cream and dill. Serve over egg noodles or rice with a side of peas.
Mushroom Soup Pork Chops
Serves 4
Ingredients:
2 potatoes, thinly sliced
4 pork chops
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup beef broth
Place potatoes and pork chops in a greased 9×13 inch pan. Season with salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, combine soup and broth. Pour over potatoes and pork chops. Bake at 375 Fahrenheit for 45 minutes or until meat is fully cooked and potatoes are tender.
Cheesy Crock Pot Chicken
Serves 4
Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Brown chicken breasts in a small amount of oil. In a separate bowl, mix soups and garlic powder. Place chicken in crock pot and pour soup mixture over top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over rice.
