Try this family-pleasing, yummy chicken pasta next time you need a quick meal. Don’t forget the garlic toast!
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts (diced approx 1 inch)
1 15oz can tomato sauce
1 pkg Wishbone Italian
1/4c apple cider vinegar
olive oil
small sweet onion
garlic (I used 4tbsp pre-chopped)
chopped parsley
pasta (we used bowtie)
Directions:
Get your pasta going by whatever method you like.
Pour olive oil into skillet and start the heat on medium. Slice and dice your sweet onion (use as much as you prefer) and add to skillet with 1-2tbsp of garlic; keep temp on medium while you dice your chicken. Once chicken is diced, add to skillet and turn up heat to medium high. In small bowl, mix your Italian seasoning packet with 1/4 cup of cider vinegar. Combine until paste like consistency; it needs to be thick. Once chicken is thoroughly cooked, add in the Italian mixture and the rest of the garlic. Stir until chicken is coated evenly, then turn heat back down to medium. Allow to cook for a few minutes before adding the tomato sauce.
Drain pasta and return to large saucepan or a bowl; add chicken and sauce and combine. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve with garlic bread!
Variations~ try adding diced bell peppers, zucchini, or tomato.
