Fourth of July, and all holidays really, present fantastic opportunities for family traditions. I’m learning that these traditions can be a great way to enhance the memories your children take with them once their grown.
When I was growing up we had a family tradition of a particular summer dessert for Fourth of July. Mom would bake a white sheet cake and we would decorate it with whipped cream. Then we made red stripes of strawberry halves. And a corner of blueberries to be the stars of the American Flag. Delicious Independance Day dessert!
