Recently, I went looking for a box of 2T girl’s clothing, needing to pull out some outfits for my daughter. Two days later, I came across the box in a storage space under my stairs. It was a non-descript cardboard box with no indication of what it contained. I realized I needed some sort of labeling system for all the stuff that gets lost or for items that call for a good organizing system.
As if by design, I was asked to review Mabel’s Labels Custom Bin Labels. I’m happy to say that, after placing their labels on thirty of my most essential items and boxes, my house is much more organized than before! From organizing scrapbooking supplies to clothes, gardening tools to toys, the brightly colored, easy-to-read labels are perfect for whatever the need.
My Experience with Custom Bin Labels
Ordering my custom bin labels was easy. I simply chose between three colors and two fonts and then customized each of my labels according to my needs. For example, I needed labels for my kids’ toy boxes, my scrapbooking items, baby clothes and seasonal decorations. Instead of having to purchase several different packages of pre-printed labels, I typed in exactly what was useful to me. The labels arrived nicely packaged and in great shape.
The labels easily adhered to different types of containers. I placed them on cardboard boxes, large storage bins, and plastic containers. I actually was able to move around a couple of the labels on my plastic containers. After a few hours, the labels were fairly immovable, which is great, considering the labels I had previously used on my boxes had peeled up and fallen off.
I decided to test their durability, and after running one under water for a short time, it still adhered tightly to my container. Although I couldn’t test my containers in the microwave or dishwasher, the Mabel’s Labels website states that their personalized sticky labels are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe and UV resistant.
The green I chose was a pleasant shade that complimented my décor on the storage bins that were visible in the playroom. Perhaps the only thing I would have liked was more color selection during the ordering process or the choice to have two or three colors per order. Practically speaking, though, it makes for an easier time for the printer.
