There are so many meaningful moments that I’ve been blessed to experience over the course of my life it’s impossible to just choose one. But the most life-changing moment this past year of course has been when Vivian joined our family.
The moment of her birth was lovely. Surrounded by family and caring support, Vivian and I worked together to bring her into the world. The moments she has created since them are the most meaningful of the year to me.
Seeing even my little’s turning tender and careful. Watching them bicker over who gets to make her smile at them. And who they ask to hold her, pick out her outfits, help me by fetching diapers or wipes.
And really – what isn’t more gorgeous to look at than a big, grown man snuggling with a sweet, soft newborn? Not much in all the world that I’ve ever seen! 
I’m trying to hold on to these precious moments. It may be the last time we have this hectic, sleepless, warm, newborn moments in our house. I posted her 2- month old pictures and part of my gasped in horror – is she already two months old! How in the world can that have happened already?
I think that’s the catch with meaningful moments – they don’t last long. They are the most fleeting of moments. Sometimes it is several moments around a theme that are the most meaningful. For me – that’s family.
