My first impression of a site like BradsDeals.com is that it’s scammy, inaccurate and/or too good to be true. That might be the cynic in me, since after all, haven’t we all come across erroneous coupons and discount codes in Google searches as we scour the web for deals? Right away, though, I noticed one prominent difference between Brad’s Deals and your run of the mill spam site: There was actual content! It wasn’t just a link farm. Each post was different and seemed to be genuinely helpful. And thus, the intrigue began.
What is BradsDeals.Com?
Brad’s Deals is neither a shopping site nor a page full of parked links that take you nowhere. Think of it more as your own personal shopping scout. On the main page, you are immediately greeted with the top deals of the day, which sidetracked my investigation quite a bit. Brad- and a team, I am sure- have apparently scrubbed the web for the best deals they can find on just about any item out there, and then they link you to where you can take advantage of that deal. This may take the form of a coupon code, printable coupon, sale, clearance or combination of the above. Fifty dollars for a one hundred dollar Travelocity gift card? Sign me up! Thirty minutes and a planned mini vacation later, I came back to check it out a bit more.
Where Do I Find the Deals?
As you scroll through the main page, you can window-shop the Handpicked Deals, Hot Deals, Top Coupon Codes and Top Printable Codes. Or, if you know what you are looking for (which usually helps to ensure that you are actually getting a deal and not impulse buying), you can search for your item or browse by category.
You also have the option to search by store to see if your favorite retailer has any codes available. Some are more intriguing than others, like these Macy’s coupons, with 50-60% off deals, which overshadow the current Old Navy coupons – a few dollars off here and there- pretty handily. Of course, deals are always changing, so if you want to be immediately in the loop on sales and coupons, you can subscribe to get email notifications, follow Brad’s Deals on Facebook or Twitter, or subscribe to the blog.
How Do I Know These Deals Are Real?
The comments sections eased my concerns about legitimacy by quite a bit. Most of them were simply happy buyers, but others were comments with tips and tricks, or concerns that were quickly followed with a Brad’s Deals representative helping to resolve them.
Still cynical, I ran some searches of my own to see if I could come up with a better deal. I didn’t- which, I’ll be honest, got my competitive side worked up a bit! My thrifty side won, though, and ultimately I’m rather excited about the prospect of a one stop bargain hunting resource.
Disclaimer: Untrained Housewife received compensation for this post, but a positive review was not required. I really did get sidetracked with all of the great deals, a few of which I will probably take advantage of soon!
