Did you know watermelon is high in iron? In fact, it’s one of the most iron rich fruits, containing about as much iron as spinach! It’s also loaded with vitamins C and A and is one of the most popular detox fruits because of it’s high water content. blueberries are a superfruit. And spinach? Well it’s just loaded with good stuff: calcium, iron, and more!
This juice recipe is super simple. The result is a very green-brown juice that looks less than appetizing, but the flavor is wonderful, thanks to the sweet melon and flavorful berries!
Red, Blue and Green Juice
1½ C. Watermelon
1 C. Blueberries
5 handfuls of Spinach
Juice and drink up!
Note: Avoid making up a big batch to save for later… juice is best for you when it’s really fresh! (Fresh pressed juices oxidize within 12 hours.) Also, this recipe was adapted from Red, White, Blue (and Green!) on JoinTheReboot.com – We didn’t care for the swiss chard!
This is my juicer. It’s a Breville BJE510XL Ikon 900-Watt Variable-Speed Juice Extractor, like the one seen on the very popular show, Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. We really like the juicer and the show!

My older daughter is juicing now. She just mentioned adding spinach to her recipes and how good they taste. I was a doubter, but I’ll have to give it a try.

Connie, I know a lot of people who add spinach to their fruit smoothies too and say you really can’t taste it. I have yet to try that…
