A big thanks to Disney Baby for sponsoring this post and the .
My kids get along so well (for the most part) and play together in amazing ways. They constantly create these moments where I catch my breathe and think – This is it! This is the magic that makes life worthwhile! You know the moments I’m talking about right? This photo represents one of those moments.
You’d think that after having been through two younger siblings, my oldest two children would be tired of having new babies around the house. But that simply wasn’t so. By the time Adam could walk, Brianna and Evan were praying for another baby. Every. Night.
No one in our family was surprised when Sidney and I found out we were expecting again except Sidney and I. Miracle baby indeed, we weren’t upset by any means and decided to tell the children that God had answered their prayers. We sat them all down at the kitchen table and told them God had given them an answer to what they’d been praying for!
Brianna: “YES! I KNEW God would send me a baby sister!”
Sidney and I looked at eachother – um…whoops.
“Well honey, it might be another brother. If God sends our family a baby boy instead of a baby girl is that ok?”
Brianna: “Sure, Mom. You can just have my sister next time.”
The faith of these children is astounding. In Brianna’s mind she already knew her sister existed. It was just my job to have her.
I have to admit, I was relieved when this baby was indeed a girl. This pregnancy was the toughest on me physically because my back and hips gave me such trouble. I also had what I thought was minor digestive upsets but turned out to be gall bladder issues that resulted in emergency surgery earlier this year.
God knew we would be done after this baby and answered Brianna’s prayers sooner rather than later. She is thrilled. Vivian gets dressed, accessorized, loved on, entertained, and motivated to get up and get going faster than any of my other kids.
She completes our family in every way and is one-hundred percent an answer to a prayer Sidney and I didn’t know we should pray. Thankfully, my kids did!

So cute.
G has been asking for a sister CONSTANTLY. He told Ryan at supper last night that he thought we should ask God about it.
Ryan and I were choking we were trying so hard not to laugh. We KNEW this was coming.
Ryan said, maybe later. We still have a baby right now…

That is such a nice post and really shows how the youn and older children can interact. This will be a special time as there will be a different synergy between in the family mix now.
