I know that there is a huge debate about cutting down trees to display in a home for a few weeks. Or, on the flip side of that, of the toxic plastic tree that lasts a long time but fills the home with plastic fumes.
After seeing a friend share their homemade trees, I did some searching and found a few unique and easy ideas that answer both concerns – here they are for your viewing pleasure…
A Kid-Friendly Tree
Angela of Creatiful Kids shares this homemade felt Christmas tree that her family put together. Just imagine how fun this would be for the kids to rearrange instead of the “fancy” tree!

Ladder & Pine Tree
Okay, so Funky Junk Interiors Ladder Christmas Tree isn’t without the actual tree but come on you can’t say this isn’t one of the most unique use if a wooden ladder, tree, and vintage household items.
Twig No More
For those with little space to spare you’ll love The Art of Doing Stuff‘s Twig Christmas Tree. A crafty, yet pretty solution to a limited budget and space. I think this might just be perfect for our home as Tucker is rolling and grabbing at everything!

The Book Tree
We have enough books in the house we’d be able to make a huge Book Christmas Tree but I just fear it might crash down and crush the kids. It’s a fantastic idea for book stores and libraries.
