Why Full Circle?
We are fortunate to be part of a generation that is growing more and more conscious of the way that the earth should be treated. Unfortunately, we are also part of a generation raised on instant gratification, bargain buying and disposable-everything. This makes reaching for the more expensive, bulky, uncertain-quality-but-labeled-“green” product instead of the grab-and-go, toss-it-away item a difficult choice, no matter how full the landfills.
Full Circle might just be the answer. Each of their products are not only easily accessible and affordable, but they are also pleasing to the eye and rather durable. I recently had the opportunity to review some of their products, and I must say that the results were surprising.
Full Circle Cleaning Products – Both Effective and Aesthetic
If nothing else, Full Circle has the presentation factor down. They seem to understand that an environmentally friendly kitchen does not have to look primitive or unappealing. When I opened the box, I instantly wanted to clear my counter to put the utensils on display.
Since every type of people group is looking to reduce, reuse and recycle, a good, eco-friendly cleaning line has to suit every budget and home, from the family of four to the “granola” group to the trendy, upper-middle-class neighborhood. With sleek lines, fresh colors and a generally clean aura about them, the Full Circle products make a beautiful addition to any environmentally conscious home. And there is an added benefit to the products that stand on end or curve away from the surface: the less contact with a surface when stationary, the less chance for germs and grime to set up camp.
I would have liked to see a display case or holes in the bottoms for stringing and hanging them. Fortunately, they can all stand, sit or lay in a relatively compact space, so a display or storage option would only be icing on the cake, not a necessity.
How Well Do the Full Circle Products Clean?
After I stared at my new cleaning toys for awhile and envisioned how much nicer they would look on my counter than the mess that currently took up residence, it was time to get down to business. Admittedly, I was hoping a magical vacuum would have been included to eliminate the clutter, but that is for a different article. In any case, having such fresh products was a great motivator to get my surfaces cleared. No one wants to clean when they are grabbing for an old rag or a worn-out plastic scrubber.
With that said, I was still rather skeptical of the usability. So, I began to scrub. I started slowly- the slice to clean around the faucet, the dish brush to scrub some pans. It… it was working! I picked up pace- the flip to scrub that weird pink stain from the counter, the high and dry to clean the grout on my table. I was even able to clean my bathtub with baking soda without breaking a sweat. Both FLYLady and Al Gore would be proud!
The bristles in the brushes can take some abuse without fraying, and more importantly, they rinse easily and dry while standing, so no grime-sharing between cleanings. The loofah/sponge combos (which I could play with all day long, just for the way that they feel) really work well in tandem; I found myself flipping them over multiple times to get the benefit of both sides. And the “scoop” sponge provides a great finish, without getting smushed on the sink to gather mildew and disease.
My favorite part is that, since the Full Circle products make natural cleaning solutions much more viable, I am not worried about what was used on the utensil last. I can confidently clean my dishes or children’s toys without worry of harmful toxins.
The Price for Eco-Conscious Cleaning Products
How much am I out? Hold your breath…I’m just kidding. While they aren’t your 99-cent scrubbers or quarter-sponges, the Full Circle Home products are no more expensive than any other sturdy utensil. The difference with these? Your great-great-great-great-great-grandkids won’t find the Scoop laying in a landfill in 2610. All of the products are not only biodegradable and made from sustainable materials, but they are also made in an environmentally-friendly facility that takes care of its employees.
Affordability, attractiveness and absolute efficiency? Full Circle cleaning products may just be the greatest thing since sliced Magic Eraser, and free of mystery chemicals, to boot!
