You remember when I posted about what writing a book really looks like? And the sad state of affairs that was my office desk? (Also- can I tell you that all the emails saying “Thank you! I feel so much better about myself now” just made my day.)

Well the kind folks at Office Max must have seen those photos too because they sent me a DiVOGA Office Organization Set to review and giveaway. That’s what they said anyway – I think they secretly felt great pity for me and wanted to help make the world a cleaner place.

Have a Place for On-Going Projects

I was able to use the magazine holder for my works-in-progress. Paperwork I needed to deal with. Post ideas. Things like that. I think it’s important to have a place for the “I need to touch this during the week” without everything being piled up in your work space. *ahem*

Accessories and Office Items

I love office accessories and thought the four-square compartment tray was perfect. Because my desk is homemade it doesn’t have a pull-out drawer so this is a great option to have right on the desk top itself in easy reach. It would also fit inside most office desk drawers if you have one and prefer it that way – a good option if your desk is a little smaller.

I like having everything right there close at hand when it is needed. Doesn’t that look so much better though? No stacks and stacks of clutter? It’s like a miracle I tell you!

A Place for Papers

Use a paper sorter for a couple different reasons. You can put your blank papers for the printer in there. You can put longer-term projects in there like an in/out bin. I like to keep the contracts for open blogger campaigns I’ve agreed to where I can refer back to them during the process. Once the contracted time is over I file them away in my filing cabinet for the year.

Pens and Pencils

I buy them in bulk but I only use one or two at a time. This pencil holder was perfect because I could keep pens and pencils separately and also had room for my little office scissors! Loved the photo holder portion as well…I like having photos of my loved ones around my desk, don’t you?

  1. I would LOVE the white quilted. It looks beautiful on your desk, and would look beautiful on mine! My colors are pink and green, and I have mostly glass jars to contain all my desk junk…. This would make me look “legit.” Real office organizers, from the office store!!!!

  55. The magazine holder is my favorite piece because it would give me some place to put my go to “hot files” that I need to work on and any catalogs and papers I need to keep at my finger tips!

  61. I am in the process of setting up my office for my sewing biz, and absolutely LOVE the white quilted design! It would look beautiful up against the vibrant orange paint I’ve chosen for the walls! I am also in desperate need of some organization to make my life/biz run more smoothly!

  65. The white quilted set was beautiful! If anyone saw what my desk looked like right now… well let’s just say you would know what i’m talking about! lol I would love to get more organized throughout my life, but my desk could Really use it! I cring whenever I look at it… Sad day! 😉
