A wonderful way to end your day is with an aromatic bath. It can be relaxing, rejuvenating, and in the winter time it can be nourishing to the skin. The winter cold brings heated indoor areas, which can dry our skin. By adding a moisturizing bath into your routine once or twice a week, your skin will feel much more nourished. Simple home ingredients such as milk and honey were used by Cleopatra for beautifying her skin. They moisturize and calm, which is needed during these winter days. Remember to add the mixture to your bath right before stepping into it. The essential oils will dissipate by the time you get into the bath if you add them at the time you turn the water on.
Choose essential oils that are gentle on the skin such as lavender, chamomile, or sandalwood. See Tips for Using Essential Oils in the Bath for more ideas on which essential oils to add to your blends!

Sometimes, it is important to divert crafting and DIY energy to things that will energize and nourish yourself. What do you like to make for yourself?

Is that your tub? Its beautiful! I love coming up at home beauty that will relax you and soothe you. This sounds delightful, what a great way to indulge in yourself without going over the top and springing for a visit to the spa, why, when you can do it at home?! Now you just have to keep the kids out!

Hi Rose:
Isn’t that tub a dream? This is not my tub, but what you are to imagine while soaking in a honey or milk bath! You might even try the bath during the day if your kids are in school.

Is there a way to add how to get time to ever take a bath?? ha/ha j/k – Great post!! Pinned!!
Donna Eshelman says
Hi Jamie:
If you don’t have kids, I think once you start taking baths to relax at night it becomes more of a habit. If you do have kids, you may have to ask someone to watch them for 30 minutes, such as grandma or your spouse if you are married. Also, think about the concept of the “Day Spa.” It is something you go to during the day, right? If your kids are in school during the day you can take a bath then. 🙂 Enjoy!

Love these easy and all natural ideas. I think I might have to print a picture of that relaxing romantic tub and put out a hint for Valentines Day 😉

Very nice, remind me the good old days to go for a trip with friends and enjoy spa in a hotel together. Time flies and it is hard to use the bathroom for longer than 15 minutes after I have kids.

Such a great way to relax!
I always wondered how to make my own Calgon moments and this is perfect!
Thanks!
