Vivian finally has teeth. About the time she started walking in earnest, she finally cut those first teeth.
In our family we have a tradition of putting a toothbrush in everyone’s Christmas stockings (they also get one in their Easter baskets) and it’s a great way to counter act all those holiday sweets and remember to replace the brushes in a timely manner.
But tooth brushes for babies? Yes! Oral care begins at birth and MAM makes it super simple.
I made an infographic complete with adorable cute baby face because let me tell you – Vivian thinks she is completely hot stuff when she is brushing her teeth. She brushes her teeth on the bed before I tuck her in so she’s laying down and I can make sure her teeth get cleaned.
For babies who don’t yet have teeth, tuck an Oral Care Rabbit into their stocking. The gentle terry fabric material is super-soft and you just slip your fingers into the ears and wipe down the gums to keep the mouth clean and get baby used to dental hygiene.
With the very first teeth but before solids, the MAM massaging brush can help with teething pains, but also mimics a real tooth brush. ICMRS proven to help clean baby’s teeth and the massager texture is something my babies have loved.
From 6 months up there is the training toothbrush which has real bristles but the longer handle. The long handle means parents can hold under the baby’s hand as they “brush their own teeth” and help guide the movements so teeth actually get cleaned. For anyone with an infant in their life, this is the perfect stocking stuffer.
Lastly, the first brush we use with our kids well into toddlerhood because the soft, rounded head is gentler in their tiny mouths. Vivian and Adam both love theirs. So for the walkers and barely-talkers in your life, the First Brush is the toothbrush to throw in their stockings.
Don’t break the tradition! One year my mom left the tooth brushes out of our stockings and I think she heard about it for 6 months. Maybe more. Like we could possibly tease her about it every year leading up to Christmas. So don’t let that happen to you – make sure you pick up the MAM oral care items for the babies in your lives.
I’ve been blessed to be able to work as a MAM ambassador this year during Vivian’s babyhood and I appreciate all the goodies I was sent to test out. These are, as always, my honest opinions.
