Let’s be honest – cellulite is just plain horrible. We may not think so on someone else, but when it’s on us, it’s the worst thing ever! I’ve fought it back and forth for years. Sometimes it’s gone and sometimes it creeps back up.
When it’s gone, I’ve kept after it. When I’m lazy, it shows its ugly face. So, what are the things you can do to keep it gone? Simply follow the steps below for an at home cellulite treatment. Luckily, it’s cheap and easy. It only requires a few extra minutes of your day and a couple can be done while showering or bathing making it perfect for busy moms.
Getting Rid of Cellulite
Take a look at the cellulite treatments below. Keep in mind, you can’t pick and choose which ones you want to do. If you are going to get rid of cellulite, you need to do them all and keep after it or it will creep back up. Cellulite doesn’t take a break, and you can’t either.
Dry Brushing
First of all, dry brushing is said to be good for many things, like improving circulation, encouraging discharge of metabolic waste, helping to eliminate toxins, stimulating the lymphatic system, removing dead skin cells, and even unclogging pores. As if that isn’t enough, it is also great for getting rid of cellulite. Believe it or not, the benefits listed above work in unison toward getting rid of cellulite.
As toxins and wastes are removed along with increasing blood flow especially to cellulite prone areas, the toxins and wastes that is stored around the cellulite is also removed which in turn is getting rid of cellulite. Remember when dry brushing, you are suppose to always brush toward the heart.
Simple Yet Effective Exercises
Don’t let the word ‘exercise’ scare you off from this part of the cellulite treatment. The truth is that if the muscles in cellulite prone areas are not tightened, the appearance of cellulite is greater. The good news is that simple exercises can be done (even by moms) on a daily basis without having to stop to go to a gym or to do an hour long workout during the day. How?
Think about how many times you walk through your house each day. It’s a lot, right? How many loads of laundry do you do?
Using what you already do is a lot more time efficient than you think. First, each time you walk through the house, turn your steps into walking lunges. The next time through the house do walking side lunges. You will still be getting the housework done, but you’ll be adding in those muscle toning steps that get rid of cellulite.
One more tip – when folding laundry, squat to get each piece out of the dryer. If you are folding a large load of towels and washcloths, you may get in 30 to 50 squats a load!
Massages or Massaging
For the last step of the cellulite treatment, you will either need to massage or to massage. Okay, that doesn’t make much sense. Let me explain. If you like getting a massage, have your spouse massage the areas prone to cellulite. You don’t have to take your clothes off to let them see. Massaging can be done through the clothes — just make sure it is a deep massage. You can even buy an at home massager to use on yourself.
If you don’t like massages, you can opt for a loofah sponge to use in the shower or bath. While cleansing, deeply massage the cellulite prone skin in a circular motion. Then, just like dry brushing, brush towards the heart to increase circulation.
Final Tips About Cellulite
Be sure to drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins and other wastes from the body. Remember, it took years for cellulite to get there, so don’t expect miracles in a week. Keep using the tips above, and you’ll begin to see a difference. Believe me, the difference you see will be more than worth it!
Note: It is advised that before starting any exercise, diet or wellness program that you consult a physician or doctor of natural medicine.
