We all remember the days of playing flag football with strips of a torn t-shirt stuck in our pants dangling like a tattered kite tail. The thrill of the tackle, but in a safe manner via the flags that dangled like tails. Now flag football has gone upscale thanks to the pros at Nerf!
About the Nerf Flag Football Set
First the have redesigned the flags. Bright orange and green colors for the two opposing teams. Eight flags in each color, designed to be worn two per player for 4 per team (but adjust to your numbers as desired). These are great flags – plastic, all weather flags, with clips to attach them to your shirt, shorts, pocket, etc. It makes it much easier to replace after a “tackle”. These are easy to see in contrast to what most players are wearing, they are wide, well built and work well.

Our favorite part however is the redesigned football! This is an all weather version with easy grip design. This is not your typical Nerf foam, but more substantial than that (so don’t bring it indoors without risk, although my kids had fun tossing it around the living room). It has texture that makes it easy to grip for the varied size hands in our family. It also makes it ideal to play when things are damp outside for it adds to the ease of holding the ball and getting a good throw off for even the most novice among us.
This Nerf Flag football set is great for the park, beach or anywhere you want a spontaneous game…even as close as the backyard. Guaranteed good times outside with this set no matter the weather. Youth like it, but so do the couch potatoes who want to just get out and toss the pigskin around and have some fun without getting into tackling or the need for gear. In our home it still is competitive play, but everything is competitive….so will you be on the orange team or the green team when you play?
