The trick to this amazing recipe is to bake the bacon. Cover a standard cookie sheet with foil and lay out your bacon (I use center cut and can fit 8-10 strips). Place the sheet in the oven and then set the oven for 350. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, you want it just to the point of crispy. Watch your bacon as it will go from lightly crispy to burnt very quickly. Remove, drain excess grease, then transfer to paper towel lined plate. Allow to cool while you prep your brownie mix.
This awesome brownie recipe makes one 9×13 or two 8×8 squares.
Ingredients:
4oz unsweetened chocolate (broken into pieces)
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 and lightly grease your chosen pan size.
In a small saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring occasionally. After melting, allow chocolate mixture to cool slightly. In a large bowl, combine your sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix until smooth and creamy. Stir in flour and salt. Pour in your melted chocolate and combine thoroughly.
Lay your bacon on fresh paper towels and roll while twisting gently to crumble. Add crumbled bacon to brownie mix and stir, then pour your batter into lightly greased pans. Bake at 350 for 30-38 minutes (9×13) or 20-25 minutes (8×8). Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before cutting.
