Hot Wheels Party and the Double Dare Snare Giveaway

If you have little boys, chances are you have Hot Wheels. Our home is no different. So I was happy to have the opportunity to review the and host a testosterone-driven party at our house to check out the latest Hot Wheels track set.

So I invited a couple of the boys’ friends and my little brother Kyle was here to help supervise. The kids had a ton of fun planning for the party and picking out the goodie prizes for their attendees.

Picking out Hot Wheel cars for their guests was highly important to my kids. So giving!

The Double Dare Snare? Two tracks launch the high speed racers down parallel tracts into a large loop. But only one car can go through the loop first and be saved by the snare. The second car goes flying across the room – or in this case, off the Table of Terror. (I swear I don’t come up with these names by myself)

The Hot Wheels set was easy to put together. I was worried that the kids wouldn’t be able to figure it out but they were easily able to figure it out. The snare worked fabulously with any of the traditional Hot Wheels cars.

These black arms raise up to let the racers through. Ours lifted up unevenly but loosened when not brand new.

We had one side of the starting arms that lifted up slightly ahead of the other side so the kids gave up on using it to start their races. I think it was just stiff because it was brand new. Brianna took charge of getting them started. Surprise, surprise.

They were also able to extend the track by adding some Hot Wheels tracks between the launchers and had fun trying to see how long they could make them so their cars could still go over the loop.

The double dare snare loops go from two individual loops to one main loop. Which car will win?

Otherwise the quick speed, launching start, and flipping loop made this a favorite Hot Wheels set for my kids and for their friends. Want to know the one thing that could make this better?

That’s right. Saturday, June 30th will be setting off on one of the most daring stunts in history. The kids are excited to see their Hot Wheels set come to life so we will be tuning in to ABC or ESPN 11:20AM Pacific Time to watch.
