As a Sunday School teacher, finding lessons is starting to become harder and harder. After ten years of purchasing lesson plans, Bible story pictures, and other Sunday school curriculum, I finally realized that I just couldn’t afford to pay the prices that keep going up any longer. If you’ve taught Sunday School at all, then you probably know what I mean.
Sunday School Lessons for Tough Times
It wasn’t that I didn’t want to help others who worked hard to make these lessons for teachers like me, but times are getting tougher by the second, and I knew that if I looked, there had to be some free material out there somewhere.
So, I decided to find some great Sunday school lessons online that were absolutely FREE. Of course, now that I’ve found a few, I don’t want to keep them to myself. That’s why I decided to share some of what I’ve found. To me, there is nothing better than spreading God’s word, and that’s what I’ve done below.
I hope you find some great Sunday school lessons that you can use at the following sites.
Free Sunday School Lessons
I’m sure there are many more free sites on the web that offer Sunday School material for churches and teachers. If you know of any, be sure to add them in the comments for others to use!
- Sunday School Lessons of Plenty – This site is packed full of Sunday School lessons and offers either a game, activity, or coloring page to go along with the lesson all for free. Be sure to add your email so you don’t miss out when more free lessons are available.
- Ministry to Children – This site not only offers free lessons, but tips, craft ideas, coloring pages, and help for Sunday school teachers. Be sure to browse around the site as you’ll find more ideas and tips throughout. You can find the lessons by clicking on the link at the top right.
- Scripture Lady – I do find the site a bit hard to pinpoint what I’m looking for, but you can find some free lessons by hovering over the “Scripture Lady Resources” tab at the top. To get the most from this site and get the best FREE lessons and ideas, sign up to get the newsletter which is also free. When you click on any page, you’ll find where to sign-up to the right of the page just under the Scripture Lady’s picture. I signed up a year or so ago and have found that I couldn’t have done without her mailings.
I hope these will help you as much as they have helped me.

Those sites are great! Sunday School curriculum can be so expensive. These are a great blessing.
