So, I’m fostering (from animal control) this little chiweenie dog we call Coraline. She’s a very sweet dog (and is FANTASTIC with kids) but has a problem with peeing in the house and has to be watched constantly. I know that with some serious effort, she could probably be potty trained eventually…but that may not be until my house smells like urine permanately.
Did I mention she has 5 puppies? Yup..we fostered her because we wanted to do a nice thing for a dog that otherwise would have had these little guys in a cold cell at the pound. It’s so much nicer for people to be able to adopt a puppy that’s been raised underfoot.
Of course, my family wants to keep a puppy (but you knew that, lol) and/or keep Coraline. At this point, the puppy may be easier to keep since while it needs to be house trained, it doesn’t have the bad habit yet like Coraline does.
But who’s going to want to adopt this dog that pees everywhere? 🙁 Now, of course, I feel bad if we don’t keep her. Anyway, right now I’m keeping her close to me and let her go only from the puppies to the kitchen to outside and vice-versa.
Soooo we have some weeks here to make a decision. By the way, we have two other small dogs…one of which won’t be with us much longer as her health is failing (she’s 15).
WHY did I do this to myself? LOL
