So you know how sometimes you are the mean mom? The mom who says no to Rainbow-Fruity-Sugar-Soda-Drinks? The mom who won’t let her kids watch that movie? Or sleep over at the neighbor’s house for the night? Yeah. I am that mom.

My kids spent the large portion of last week in the hay field helping Daddy and Papa haul hay. And by helping I mean running around the field and jumping on hay bales. It’s a good life.

Even with the sporadic rainstorms we had last week it was so hot. Triple digits hot. Sit in the shade of the truck that is sitting in the shade of the tree hot.

Ohh I’ll have to check this out. Thankfully, both my boys love water, but when we are out I have been known to allow lemonade or (gasp) sprite. This would be a nice alternative!
