I love Christmas. We always gather together as a family – which as the oldest of 8 children and mother of 4 (with one of the way) is a lot of family! We laugh. We tear open packages. We eat.
The only downside is that my parents don’t usually keep my favorite drinks on hand – they are straight herbal tea and decaff coffee people. This year I’m going to come prepared by bringing along a delicious, holiday coffee flavoring that will perk up a regular cup of coffee.
Peppermint Cream Coffee Flavoring You can Make Yourself
- 1/2 Cup Dutch process cocoa
- 3/4 Cup International Delight Coffee Creamer (I like the Breve Sweet Cream flavor)
- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Blend all the ingredients together and store in an airtight jar and you’ll have enough to flavor your coffee for the couple weeks around Christmas. Fabulous way to transform your cup of java into a delightful holiday treat!
