No matter what age your mom is, you can be sure she still loves Christmas. Of course, as your mother gets older, it can be harder and harder to find Christmas gifts you haven’t given her at one time or another. That’s why these top 3 Christmas gift ideas for mom should get your creative juices flowing and ensure you have something really special to give her this holiday!
Christmas Gift Idea #1
The first idea is to give her a photo blanket. If you’ve never see, one then you’re in for a surprise. First, you’ll have to find the perfect photo. Think about what your mom loves best. Maybe she loves her kids and grandkids. Maybe she loves the home place where she was born. What about her pets?
Next, you’ll need to find a store (like Wal-Mart) or an online store (like Shutterfly) that makes photo blankets. The store will take the photo and make it into a beautiful blanket or throw. The only thing I suggest is that if you don’t like yourself in the picture, don’t use it for the blanket as you will have to look at it from now on!
Christmas Gift Idea #2
Another great idea is to use old photos and make them into Christmas tree ornaments. You’ll need to start this project in advance as it takes a while to finish. Look through all your old photo albums and your mom’s too. Choose pictures you know will make her smile as they bring back old memories from times gone by.
Next, copy the photos in any color you want. I like to use antique or black and white, but the choice is yours. Last, laminate the photos and use a hole punch to add a hole in one or two corners. Then, add some ribbon or string to hang on the tree. If you’d like to add some color, place the photos on colored paper before laminating.
Christmas Gift Idea #3
Okay, this idea isn’t as spectacular as the other two, but I can assure you that mom will love it! What is this great idea? It’s Christmas pajamas! First of all, everyone needs pajamas, right? Second, how often do you buy pajamas? Probably not too often. Now, unless you have the kind of mom who is nuts over PJs and buys them for herself, she more than likely hasn’t gotten a new pair in years. If she is a quirky mom, get her quirky Christmas pajamas. Otherwise, there are dozens of others to choose from. Maybe even get the whole family a matching set of PJs.
Merry Christmas and happy shopping!

I would recommend a couple books, I picked up a few taht I will give as gifts this year by Barbara Ward, barbarabriggsward.com for her info. They are The Reindeer Keeper and The Snowman Maker. They are quick reads but great stories in each. I think they would make a great gift for any mom that likes to read.
