A card from Sidney in the mail today:

If I’d never met you, would I be
anywhere near as happy as I am today?
I really can’t imagine it.
And if I’d never hugged you, kissed you,
or held your hand in mine, would I see the same
wonder and beauty in life that I now see every day?
I really don’t think so.
Sometimes I even think that if I’d never met you,
I would be a different person-
becuase no one else could have recognized so much
that’s good in me – and done so much to bring it out.
No one else could have believed in me
and encouraged me as you have.

(OPEN TO INSIDE)

And no one else could have filled my life each day
with so much love and joy.

And then inside he wrote: It is true, if we hadn’t met I’m not sure if I would be as happy as I am right now. I do know one thing, I would probably not be where I am today, without you.

I know we have been through a lot since we have known each other; We almost walked away from each other forever but if you look back on it, that time was the best thing that could have happened to us.

Who would have thought a year and a half ago that we would be getting married now. I don’t know what God has in store for us, but I’m glad I will get to spend the rest of my life finding it out with you.

It still hasn’t sunk in yet. I’m sure it won’t until I see you walking down the aisle towards me. Man, will I be nervous. But it will be worth it all.
