With budgets so tight, the prospect of a Valentine’s Day meal can sound bleak but that doesn’t need to be the case. It is possible to turn your dining room – or any room for that matter – into a “restaurant” or “bistro” and create your own Valentine’s Day menu. This is something my husband did for me one year when things weren’t going so well, and the handmade menu became a keepsake.
What You Need:
- Red paper or card – preferably A4 size.
- A black pen for writing
- Colored pencils for drawing
- An imagination
Step One: Create the Card
The first step is easy. Take the piece of red paper or card and fold it in half. Make sure the edges line up perfectly.
Step Two: Write Down the Menu
On the inside of the menu, create the list of the dishes that you will serve. To make it look like a restaurant menu, separate the dishes into a three course meal and then offer tea and coffee at the end.
