You guys know I’ve been “leveling up” the body and hair care items that I use on my family and children trying to avoid as many harmful chemicals as possible. I was so excited then to have the opportunity to become a SoCozy blogging ambassador – I’ll be reviewing their natural, safe hair care products for kids and showing different ways to use them. Starting with Back-to-School and my baby girl, Vivian.
Vivian has fine, but naturally wavy hair and as a result it’s often in a state of tangly-messy-fly-away insanity. She typically hates to hare her hair brushed – even for co-op classes and church – and is more likely to wear the scrunchies on her arm than in her hair. I figured if any child would be a test for SoCozy it would be Vivian! Did I mention she hates to have me wash her hair? Yes that too.
SoCozy Products we tested (and LOVED) with Vivian:
Cinch 2 in 1 Shampoo + Body Wash in Guav-o-rama – This was a almost a God-send. It was “soap” for her to wash her body, but I could sneak a washing of the hair in there too while she was busy scrubbing herself and sniffing the body wash. It smells fabulous without being too over-powering. The 2 in 1 cut our bath-time battle down to rinsing the hair only so that was totally genius.
Cinch Detangler and Leave-In Conditioner in Fruity-tutti – This is my favorite product. See above note about bathtime battles, there’s no way to do a shampoo AND conditioning in the tub, plus without a good detangler, it’s very hard to brush her hair. The SoCozy Cinch detangling spray worked brilliantly and allowed me to brush her hair with NO TEARS. Insert singing choirs of angels and the Hallelujah chorus here.
Behave Styling Mousse Medium Hold in Peachy Keen – Preschoolers love to do what they see and Vivian adores trying the hair products that she sees Sidney and I using. I wish I had a picture of the time she applied his pomade “all by my-telf!” Needless to say, I helped her this time around, but the Behave Mousse gave her hair enough hold to prevent flyaways while still keeping it soft and loose. She’s so changeable and playful and full of life – anything that made her hair stiff or weighed down just would’t be a good fit. The SoCozy mousse was perfect.
Really, there’s no holding this girl back and as a parent I want to give her the best of everything. And that means taking care with the products I choose to use on my kids. Before I would agree to accept a paid ambassadorship with SoCozy I wanted to find out everything I could about the products and what they have in them!
SoCozy Hair Products:
- feature natural extracts and ingredients (rosemary, hops, and more)
- contain no nasty toxins like parabens and other harmful chemicals
- are gluten-free and nut-oil free
- have no fake coloring agents in them
You can find out more about the SoCozy hair product line for kids on their website, Facebook, or Pinterest. And watch for additional posts coming up as my boys show you their favorite hair-dos and Brianna shows her personal style as well. It’s fun to see your kids developing their own styles and sense of identities and it’s even better when you can provide products for them guilt-free! I am a paid ambassador for SoCozy but my opinions, crazy-haired-adorable-children, and photographs are all mine. I would not have accepted the gig if I didn’t like what I saw in the SoCozy Ingredients listings!
