New Year’s is a time to reflect on successes of the previous year, and plan your goals for the coming year. And as it’s often an evening for celebrating with friends and family.
A couple weeks ago I shared a couple drink options in my previous Sierra Mist post, that you could easily adopt for a New Year’s Eve party. Today I want to share an original drink I created very easily from fruit juices, Sierra Mist Natural, and vodka. I call it the “Sweet Success Strawberry Cocktail” and it’s perfect for toasting your successes both past and future!
Sweet Success Strawberry Cocktail with Sierra Mist Natural
- 6 oz Kiwi Strawberry Juice
- 2 oz Raspberry Vodka
- 10 oz Sierra Mist Natural
- Cocktail Sugar (I used Apple Flavored Sugar placed on the glass with a dash of lime juice.) (optional)
- Strawberry (optional)
Put ice, vodka and juice into a shaker and mix until chilled. Add Sierra Mist Natural. Strain into sugar-rimmed martini glasses and garnish with a strawberry fan. Serves 2.
Don’t forget to be responsible if you choose to drink. Or create the recipe above without the vodka added for a non-alcoholic version of the Sweet Success Strawberry Cocktail!

I don’t have a link for this, as it’s an adaptation from my favorite mojito recipe. The addition of cranberries makes it perfect for this time of year. The amount of sugar in the simple syrup has been significantly reduced since Sierra Mist Natural will be replacing the soda water.
Sierra Mist Natural Cranberry Mojito
8oz fresh cranberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup water
20 mint leaves
1 lime
4 oz light rum
4 oz Sierra Mist Natural
Put cranberries, sugar and water into a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Lower the heat to medium low, and cook for 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat when cranberries start bursting. Strain the cranberries out after the syrup has cooled. (If you didn’t want to make your own syrup, you could replace it with Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash.)
Put 10 mint leaves into a glass with the juice of half a lime and gently muddle. Fill each glass with ice, then add 2 oz each of the cranberry syrup and rum. Top with Sierra Mist Naturals and stir. Enjoy!
