As a homeschooling mom, it is important to me that my kids will be able to associate with other kids on a regular basis and enjoy some of the sports activities that I’m not able to coordinate at home. That’s why we’ve been involved in our local soccer league each semester – and they love it!

As a mom I love it too! It gets us to the park twice a week. It gets them moving for hours on end. Even at home they practice toe touches and ding-dong drills. At home I give them water, but at the field they get snacks.

Some parents have more healthful mindsets in their drink and snack privileges, but others, not so much. Neon-blue-sugar-water-and-corn-syrup? Not for my kids please! So I bring a healthier drink option and trade them two-for-one for their sugar-syrup.

Perfect sideline snack.

Being healthy as a family doesn’t mean we sacrifice the little treats we enjoy so much, it just means making smart choices for the treats we choose to enjoy. So if I can trade neon-blue-power-go-go for a Juicy Juice Fruitifuls that is a win for us.

  4. Park Day is my kiddo’s favorite. They get to see all their friends and play on the slides and equipment. I like it cause they’re getting a good workout and the joy on their faces is priceless. I love to see them enjoying themselves!

  44. My kids favorite after homeschool activity is bike riding and scooter riding! They both also enjoy playing tag w/the neighbor kids and just running around!

  176. My son usually comes home and has a snack, usually grapes, strawberries, or eggs (his fav), and watched an episode of Sponge Bob, before starting his homework.

  183. My son loves coming home from preschool and showing his younger brother all the things he makes in art class. Then he normally tries to “teach” his brother how to do it too 🙂 Its adorable
