Confession: my husband and I almost never get to go out on dates.
For most of you, this is probably a common story. With three little ones, it is pretty hard to find someone who is willing to (affordably!) watch them for us. We can get the grandparents to do it sometimes, but most of the time, date night is a distant memory.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to review the book Mug Cakes: 100 speedy microwave treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. What a treat! Another confession: I have more than one sweet tooth, which means this book is right up my alley.
Now, what does this book, my sweet teeth and date night (or lack there of) have in common? Well, let me tell you. The recipes in this book have become my (at home) date night go to.
You see, after the kids are in bed on saturday night, our new favorite thing to do is pull this book out, pick a recipe, make it and then watch a movie together! It is perfection!
The recipes in this book are incredibly quick, relatively simple and make just two portions. The clean-up is a cinch, and the ones we have tried have been divine!
If you are looking for a way to make small portions of delicious desserts, I highly recommend the book Mug Cakes!
What are your (stay at home) date night go-tos?
Disclosure: I was provided this book for free to review but the words and opinions are 100% my own.
