I want to demonstrate a healthy lifestyle for my children. I want to be fit and active. And as I mentioned yesterday, I want to fit back in those jeans!
Quaker Oats is turning their focus to healthy living with their Quaker Oats Heart Health Challenge. They’re encouraging women to stay motivated in their fitness goals.
I’ll be honest – I didn’t set any fitness goals for myself in the New Year when others made their resolutions. My health goal was to get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time. But now that Vivian is getting settled into a routine, I’m beginning to feel eager to move again.
My husband bought me a Wii Fit, I pulled out my favorite Pilates workouts and the kids got my yoga mat out of the closet. This week we’ve worked out 4 times which is really great for me! It’s tough with the kids, yes, but I try to sneak my workout in while one or two of them are napping. Most of the other kids just workout along with me and I feel good that I’m helping them establish a good habit.
That’s why I was excited to join theMap My Fitness Quaker Oats Heart Challenge. I joined the challenge and have committed to completing 15 workouts in 30 days. I’m right on track and I’d LOVE to have you guys join me! Log in – fill out your challenge and friend me so we can encourage each other.
I owe it to my family to continue teaching them healthy habits. And that means, most of all, setting a good example. Knowing that my kids are watching my every move (or non-move) is all the motivation I need. What about you?
Joining the Quaker Heart Health Challenge is my first step towards becoming a healthier me. Now I’m curious to know, what motivates you to stay healthy?
