There isn’t much you can mess up with this recipe, it basically makes itself.
This makes a big cornbread about 4 inches high. Leftovers tend to be dry, but I use them up in stuffing and homemade shake n bake. So make a batch now, and have some ready for stuffing on Thursday!
This recipe has been adapted from the Gold Medal Classic White Bread Recipe on the Gold Medal Website. It is usually on the bag of white bleached flour. It took me nearly six months of weekly test batches to get it to turn out right. Now, this is a recipe my entire family begs for.
